Step onto
the boat.
Membership is open to every student at 1337 Rabat and UM6P Rabat. No test, no interview, no prior experience — show up, and you are in.
Two minutes, four fields.
We keep the form short because the form is not the filter. Pick a cell if you already know; pick "undecided" if you don't — that is the normal answer. No password: you sign in with your 42 account.
You apply
Fill the form. You get an immediate portal invitation by email.
You get onboarded
A 90-minute session covering the lab, the network, the Discord and the toolchain.
You pick a track
Try any track for two weeks before choosing. Switching later is always allowed.
You get a team
New members are placed into a mixed-skill competition team for the next CTF.
Sign in with your 42 account — the same account you use on the intra.
I have never done a CTF. Am I too late?
No. Most people who join a new club have zero security background. The onboarding track assumes you can use a terminal and nothing more.
Do I need my own machine?
A laptop is required and almost any machine from the last six years will do — most of the work happens in a VM or over SSH. We can help you set one up in week one.
How much time does it take?
A weekly session plus some lab time is the honest minimum. Members who compete at CTFs usually put in more, by choice.
Is it only for 1337 students?
Membership covers 1337 Rabat and UM6P Rabat students. Students from other Rabat institutions can attend open sessions and join our Discord.
Does it cost anything?
No. Membership, workshops, lab access and Styx CTF entry are free, funded by the university and our partners.
Why do I sign in with 42?
1337 Rabat is part of the 42 Network, so you already have an account. Signing in with 42 proves you are a 1337 student without us storing another password.
What happens after I submit?
We approve you in the intra and you sign in with your 42 account. No password, no separate account — the next onboarding date appears on your dashboard.
